Our daycare lady went on vacation the second week of June, and we didn't have back-up care. Fortunately, Grandma Schadel was able to take a week off to come to Kansas City and watch Allison.
The two of them accomplished so much that week...but the most exciting news is that Grandma was able to fully POTTY TRAIN Allison! We are diaper free! (Thanks so much, mom.)
Grandma took Allison to the park almost every day, much to her delight. They collected rocks (drawing little faces on them to make a "rock family"), jumped in puddles (Grandma nick-named Allison "Puddle Duck"), went garage-saling, and planted a garden. (more on that later)
It was such a wonderful week, and we were ALL sorry to see Grandma head home.
