The Garden Project

Grandma Schadel planted a seed (literally) in our minds about creating a little family garden. She is quite the master gardener, and brought all of her gardening essentials on her visit to our house...roto-tiller, spade, seeds, fish guts, etc. We marked off a little 8'x8' area with landscaping timbers, then set about tilling the dirt. The tilling took its toll, and Jocelyn almost lost a toe (that was fun to type!), but we finished it in one afternoon. Grandma and Allie spent the next few days planting and fertilizing tomatoes, onions, peas, peppers, beans, squash, and cucumbers.

Allison had a blast, and she checks on the garden every single day to see what has sprouted.
