On the day Mom and Allie went fishing for the first time together, they stopped at the grocery store and bought a package of hot dogs to use as bait. (Mom didn't want to mess with worms, as Allie considers them close, personal friends.) We got to the pond and found a good spot out on the dock. Mom grabbed a cane pole and stuck a piece of hot dog on the hook. She showed Allie how to hold the pole and to watch for the bobber to go under. Allie tossed her line in the water and had a nibble right away. A moment later, she had snagged her first fish (a little bluegill). We caught TEN fish that day! After number ten, Allie was getting kind of bored, so we decided to pack up our pole for the day. It was a pretty good (an non-typical) day of fishing!

Our darling daughter
All About Allison
Polite. Smart. Sassy. Impressive vocabulary. Loves all things "princess," yet likes bugs and snakes and crawly things. Still walks on tippy toes. Eats next to nothing and is totally sustained by chocolate milk. Loves to dance and sing. Negotiates bedtime rituals, including "snuggling." Is into horses (like her mom). Gallops everywhere. Funny. Sweet. Wonderful.
