Family Vacation

We had no money budgeted for a vacation this year, but Stacy and I both need to get away from it all...so we ended up buying a "Branson Getaway" 4-day, 3-night hotel package online, dirt cheap. The catch was that we had to listen to a 90 minute presentation about a "fractional ownership" real estate opportunity. Ninety minutes was no big deal, we thought.

OMG. FOUR HOURS LATER, on our first day of vacation, with our eyes glazed over from boredom, our stomachs rumbling, and a wiggly toddler in tow, we finally turned down the sales pitch to buy an exclusive Ozark cabin, grabbed our free gifts, and ran.

The day was pretty much shot after that. So we walked around downtown Branson and hopped on one of "The Ducks" for a car/boat tour of Tablerock Lake. Allie got to steer the boat, so that was cool. One of these days, I'll try to post the video.

The rest of the vaction can be summed up in four words: Hot, Humid, Buggy and Oh-Crap-Look-At-The-Size-Of-That-Spider.
