Playing Catch-Up

I haven't been very good at updating the blog lately. My heart just isn't in it - real life seems more important right now.

In the last few weeks:

1. We had a nice Easter at Camp Lakeside in Western Kansas.
2. My mother-in-law, Marjorie, was elected the mayor of my husband's hometown.
3. She then suffered an awful injury to her arm, shattering several bones.
4. My very pregnant sister-in-law, Andrea, hit a deer and totalled her van (she's okay!)
5. A friend of mine lost his 3-year-old little boy in a terrible, tragic accident.
6. We lost a beloved member of our own family.
7. Several family members have been ill and/or hospitalized.
8. My company issued a temporary reduction of work hours and instituted a 4-day work week. (not necessarily a bad thing - I plan to enjoy the time off this summer)
9. I helped chaperone a junior high youth group trip to Worlds of Fun.
10. Allison turned four.

My baby isn't a baby anymore. Sigh.
