The Jennings Firemen's Fun Day parade featured a new competition this year - the "Parade Queen." Anyone could participate, so we entered Allie as a contestant and dressed her up cowgirl-style (complete with stick horse). She rode the float down main street, then her daddy (the parade emcee) got to interview her in front of the crowd.Allie didn't win the Queen title, but she and her cousin Ashley were both official runner-up Princesses. They each got a lovely certificate, a tiara, and a hug from the Fire Chief.
